Device with Motorised Varifocal Lens
GEOT8 VF is the innovative device created by AVACAM with motorised varifocal optics.
The varifocal lens allows for completely remote adjustment from 2.8mm to 12mm,
making it possible to change the frame and perform camera movements with just a few clicks and from a distance.
The device is assembled according to the customer’s requirements and then shipped to the
installation site, which can be on a pole or wall.
Resistance and Versatility
The device is made of aluminium and steel to withstand the most adverse weather conditions (e.g. strong winds). The GEOT8 VF is suitable for installation on any surface and is delivered pre-assembled in a protective box that is ultra-resistant to impact and any type of adverse conditions.
GEO8 can be supplied in different configurations:
– with 220V power supply only.
– with power supply and backup battery for added security.
– with battery, battery charger and 12V cables.
Accessories
The new GEOT8 VF device comes with several accessories:
– POWER SUPPLY AND BACKUP BATTERY: the device can be powered solely by the power supply provided by TimelapseLab, to which a backup battery can be attached to stabilise the connection in the event of a sudden power failure, so that no files are lost during operation.
– BATTERY: the device can also be powered by a battery supplied by TimelapseLab. GEOT8 VF batteries feature a quick-connect plug and are AGM, an innovative technology that uses a valve to automatically renew energy production without having to refill the battery with acid, allowing for cyclical recharging without losing functionality. The batteries are watertight and resistant to high and low temperatures, safe and do not emit any toxic vapours that could compromise the safety and health of those around them.
– CHARGER AND SPARE BATTERY
CE-marked devices compliant with European directives, which declare, through a declaration of conformity (or performance in the case of construction products), that the product complies with the safety requirements established by the applicable EU directives or regulations.
– CASE:
Internal cable passage or via watertight cable glands supplied as standard, anti-ageing seals (ideal for all climates), low consumption heater.
– WALL BRACKET: An essential accessory of the GEOT8 kit is undoubtedly the new wall bracket, made of aluminium and steel to ensure lightness and stability in all conditions. The bracket is designed to be fixed to a wall using four plugs (supplied with the bracket) in the absence of a pole or traditional support.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RESISTANCE TO CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
The solar panel and other system components are designed to operate across a wide temperature range, from -40°C to +85°C, making it ideal for harsh climatic conditions. Additionally, thanks to the integrated bypass diode, energy loss due to partial shading is minimized.

The TL8 GEO device communicates with the software via a data SIM card. The software has been developed to process digital images and monitor movements and surface changes in the territory and structures. Using digital image correlation algorithms, it can detect minimal variations with millimetre-level precision, providing real-time data analysis and enabling an immediate response to the variations detected.
